COM. SANKAR SINGH MESSAGE FOR THE PUBLIC MEETING

Friends,

            I must first beg to be excused for my failure to speak to you due to the paralytic attack on my throat making me speechless. I am here before you to-day in connection with the First All India Convention of our organization named Communist Workers Platform (C.W.P). This organization we have started giving shape through this convention with a view to eventually develops it into a new party of the working class an vast masses of toiling people of this country of ours with your support and active co-operation.

            I know this idea of ours to give birth to a new party may not be received by you with pleasure. Because of the anti-people, corrupt and ideology-less behaviour of various existing political parties people in general and poor working class in particular have developed an antipathy towards politics as such. There was nothing unusual in it. The existing political parties are full of such dishonest and corrupt self-seekers, such crime-tainted goondas wielding muscle-power and money-power at their command amassing fortunes for themselves and suppressing people at behest of their Capitalist Masters. This is the reality not only of a particular region or state of the country but of all states involving almost all existing parties regional or national.

            At a time when price-rise of all articles in the market, constantly rising figure of country-wide unemployment of the working section of people of the country, all pervading corruption at all levels of social life and complete commercialisation of education is causing unbearable sufferings in people’s life these parties are showing least concerned to put a check to rise of all these maladies as they are showing interest to win election to get a seat or seats in Parliament or Assembly to get a chance to run the present-day Capitalist System to earn more money for themselves.

            I want to assure you that the party we are trying to build will never be a similar one. On the contrary we are trying to build a revolutionary party of the working class which aims at over-throwing of the present Capitalist-rule and establish socialist order of society in which all the maladies confronted by working people to-day will find their final redressal for good.

            With an appeal to you to support this effort of ours I conclude here.
